We understand that organizations working with a budget have concerns about travel costs.
Here's a breakdown of how Goodsides approaches travel expenses:
Local Travel (within a 2-hour radius of HQ or partner city)
For most local productions, travel expenses are minimal. We typically use three vehicles for crew and gear, and these costs are considered nominal (usually under $150 per day).
These local travel expenses are included within our fixed production fee.
Extended Travel (requiring overnight stays)
Productions that require our team to stay overnight in a location will incur additional travel costs for lodging and related expenses.
We will always provide a transparent cost breakdown, with travel expenses listed as a separate line item on your pricing sheet.
Keeping Costs Competitive
We are mindful of travel costs and their impact on your budget. Unless a project requires extensive travel (e.g., week-long documentary shoots in remote locations) travel expenses are unlikely to significantly impact the overall project cost.
Additional Notes
We're always happy to discuss specific travel requirements and provide a detailed estimate for your project.
If you have budget concerns about travel, reach out to us for a consultation. We can explore ways to potentially optimize logistics and keep costs down.
Further note that our post production bill rates can be reduced or discounted in some cases to balance out heavy travel cost burdens.
